Introduction

Booking Requirements¶

Within each departure, there includes a list of requirements. They are broken down as such:

CONFIRMATION requirements must be met before a booked services on a
product can have its status set to Confirmed
CHECKIN requirements must be met before a document of type VOUCHER is generated
for a booked services on a product.
INFORMATIONAL requirement appears on every departure resource and is non-actionable.
The details in this requirement do no relate specifically to any CONFIRMATION or CHECKIN requirements listed in the table below, but should always be given to a customer when booking a services on a product.

While any requirement in the table may be needed for CHECKIN, only the following list are currently ever required for CONFIRMATION:

Requirements that are marked as “Internal” in the table below must be fulfilled internally by our staff. Non-internal requirements can be fulfilled by updating the appropriate value(s) in either the customer or services resource.

Finally, much of these requirements can be completed by an agent or traveller through Good To Go, our check-in tool made available for all.

ARRIVAL_FLIGHT_DETAILS	Arrival flight number, date, and time are required for this product. In the departure service or activity service ‘arrival_flight_details’ list, both ‘arrival_flight_number’ and ‘arrival_flight_date_time’ must be present for each customer.	No
COPY_OF_PASSPORT_SENT	A passport copy must be submitted for this product. We must then send a passport copy to a 3rd party for this product.	Yes
COPY_OF_VISA_SENT	A visa copy must be submitted for this product. We must then send a visa copy to a 3rd party for this product.	Yes
COUNTRY_OF_RESIDENCE	Country of residence must be submitted for this product.	No
CRIMINAL_BACKGROUND_CHECK_RECEIVED	A criminal background check must be submitted for this product.	No
CUSTOMER_INFORMATION	This is always of ‘type’ INFORMATIONAL and has no actionable item. Please see details above this table about the ‘type’ INFORMATIONAL	No
DATE_OF_BIRTH	Date of birth must be submitted for this product. ‘date_of_birth’ must be set in the customer resource.	No
DEPARTURE_FLIGHT_DETAILS	Departure flight number, date, and time are required for this product. In the departure service ‘departure_flight_details’ list, an item must be present for each customer (both ‘departure_flight_number’ and departure_flight_date_time’)	No
EMERGENCY_CONTACT_DETAILS	An emergency contact must be submitted for this product. All ‘emergency_contact’ fields (‘first_name’, ‘last_name’, ‘phone_number’) must be set in the customer resource.	No
FIRST_NIGHT_HOTEL	We must set the accommodation for the ‘start_date’ of this product.	Yes
INTERNATIONAL_TICKET_NUMBER	An International Ticket Number (ITN) must be submitted for this product. Further details can be found in the tour dossier. In the departure service ‘international_ticket_number’ list, an item must be present foreach customer (‘ticket_number’).	No
JACKET_SIZE	Jacket size must be submitted for this product. Further details can be found in the tour dossier.	No

NATIONALITY	Nationality must be submitted for this product. ‘nationality’ must be set in the customer resource.	No

PASSPORT_EXPIRY_DATE	Passport expiry date must be submitted for this product. The ‘expiry_date’ field (in the ‘passport’ data) must be set in the customer resource.	No
PASSPORT_ISSUE_DATE	Passport issue date must be submitted for this product. The ‘issue_date’ field (in the ‘passport’ data) must be set in the customer resource.	No
PASSPORT_NUMBER	Passport number must be submitted for this product. The ‘number’ field (in the ‘passport’ data) must be set in the customer resource.	No
